Who's asking
I'm Kai Mai — an adventure, portrait and event photographer, and the founder and engineer behind MeraRAW, a GPU-accelerated RAW editor with a local AI colorgrading assistant. I've been shooting for five years, mostly in the mountains, and I make outdoor documentaries in Nepal. Before this I studied finance and computer science at Wharton and worked in trading.
MeraRAW came out of that work: I was tired of Lightroom being slow, subscription-locked, and opaque about what its AI actually does to your file. The mountains are where the photographs come from, and this climb is the next one.
